The Industrial Complex of Manaus (PIM) gives recovery signs and it retakes the growth indexes gradually, after the first impact of the effects of the international economical crisis. In March, the companies of PIM billed US$ 1,744 billion, result 24,14% larger than obtained him/it in February (US$ 1,403 billion), and the exports consolidated in the month were of US$ 74,970 million, value 14,37% larger in relation to the US$ 65,546 million obtained in the previous month. In Real, the variation of the revenue was of 24,2%, passing of R$ 3,247 billion in February for R$ 4,033 billion in March. 
As for the labor, there was slowing down in the number of dismissals, with fall of 2,14%, passing from 90.924 to 88.979 direct jobs, in the comparison of March with the month of February. In the previous months, there was fall of 4,51% of January for February, and of 6,02% of December of the passed yearfor January of 2009. 
 
The indicators of performance of PIM, published bythe Superintendency of the Zona Franca of Manaus (Suframa), present statistics reviewed by 389 companies of the universe of 420 researched periodically. The industrial park possesses 550 motivated factories approximately. 
 
In the annual comparative, PIM finished the first quarter of this year with revenue of US$ 4,540 billion, result 35,24% lower in the comparative with the same period of last year, although the expressive fall is due, largely, to the valorization of the dollar in the analyzed period. In the monetary conversion, the revenue was of R$ 10,494 billion, what represents a fall of 13,74% before the first quarter of 2008. The exports in the quarter reached US$ 197,826 million, result 17,59% smaller than reached in equal period of last year. 
 
As to the superintendent Flavia Grosso, the expectation is that, starting from the second quarter of 2009, the Industrial Pole of Manaus returns to the growth rhythm and of generation of employment observed last year. “Our evaluation is that the Brazilian economy should present more evident indication of recovery starting from the second quarter and that will result in positive numbers for the amazonian industrial complex", it bets the superintendent, adding that the retaking of the revenue and of the production of the companies should demand new recruitings in PIM. 
 
Segments - The five main segments of the Industrial Complex of Manaus presented positive results in the comparative between the months of March and February. The electric and electronic sections registered in March revenue of US$ 748,755 million and growth of 20,51% in comparison the previous month; the two wheels secrion, revenue of US$ 367,187 million and growth of 29,32%; the chemical segment, revenue of US$ 223,543 million and growth of 26,26%; the metallurgist segment, revenue of US$ 131,559 million and growth of 31,70%; and the thermoplastic segment, revenue of 105,016 million and growth of 12,08%.  
 
In the comparative of the first quarter of this year with equal period of last year, the sections that most presented increase in the revenue were the section of eraser improvement (growth of 65,52% in the revenue) and the naval section (growth of 12,44%). 
 
Some products of the electro and electronic sectors are among the ones that more obtained positive indicators in the first quarter of the year. The main prominences were the televisions with LCD, with production of 236.889 units in March and accumulated growth in the quarter of 67,49% in relation to the same period of last year. Other products are the digital photographic cameras (growth of 69,37%), televisions with plasma screen (growth of 23,98%), home theaters (growth of 24,72%) and microwaves ovens (21,34%).
