Sustainability can increase potential exporter of Amazon

Agrobusiness has great potential in the Amazonian, said the director of the Department of International Promotion of Agrobusiness (DPI/SRI), Eduardo Sampaio, during the opening of the 30th Seminar of Agrobusiness for Export (AgroEx), on this Wednesday (25), in Manaus / AM. “to Accomplish an agrobusiness event in this area is an opportunity to discuss sustainability measures that reconcile agricultural production with preservation of the Amazonian and external trade”, he explained.
According to him, the present society that it demands innovations, as functional foods, exotic or sophisticated products and, in this case, the challenge can become a good business, starting from the moment that joins value to the maintainable production. Among the regional products with potential to increase the international sales are the chestnut-pity-brasil, guarana, açai and camu-camu, more richer in vitamin C that acerola and orange.
