São Paulo, August 25, 2008 - The investments in exploration of petroleum and the new discoveries accomplished in the pre-salt layer will be enough to make possible the structuring of an industrial petrochemical complex capable to produce equipments for the world industry of petroleum. Petrobras plans to invest US$ 97,4 billion up to 2012. Several companies should apply more US$ 30 billion in the exploration. Those numbers don't consider the volume of perforation equipments and orders for the exploration of the pre-salt layer.  
For Paulo Godoy, president of the Brazilian Association of the Infrastructure and Provision industries (Abdib), it is almost an obligation to set up that industry of world class in the Country.  
They will be necessary investments of about R$ 3 billion in the expansion of the capacity of the shipyards. Soon afterwards, it will be necessary to firm technological partnerships and to intensify the process of specialized engineers' formation. According to Godoy, several states get ready to receive the group of industries that will be formed starting from those orders.  
The section still has the challenge of looking for financing alternatives to complement the resources of the National Bank of Economical and Social Development (BNDES).
