The essence of Hervy is in the successful way they seek out technical advances and its striving for the "option of excellence".
Hervy’s vision is always marked by the modern approach it has that puts together progress with social responsibility and respect for the environment. This 117 year history, originated from the ability and intelligence of the Italian builder Antonio Agu.
Since 1912, sanitary ware pieces have been commercialized on the Brazilian market with the Hervy brand, its name originating from the main director, Hermann Levy. The incorporation of innovative technology and its production processes has been a highpoint in Hervy´s history.
During the 90's, the group diversified its activities investing US$25 million in one of the most modern industrial plants in the world. This reinforced Hervy’s commitment to environmental issues. Hervy is a pioneer in Brazil in the utilization of technologies aimed at reducing the usage of water and has been participating actively in programs for the development in this line of products.
The result has been the conversion of these products to minimal use of water for each flush cycle - a concept that puts together beauty, technology and economizing to the consumer which in turn conserves all water resources.
The modern plant equipment installed in the manufacturing area is a mechanized process that gives quality and efficiency to the production line. The burning process of the pieces is done within very modern kilns and utilizes the latest technology in its industry. Hervy has three English Ovens from Drayton. One is continuous that processes 135 thousand pieces and two intermittent at 65 thousand pieces.
HERVY is a pioneer in the implementation of technology seeking rational water use. HERVY was the first Brazilian company to develop a toilet tank that uses only 6 liters of water per cycle and is the only one with a two-inch siphon — in other words, more efficiency with less water consumption.
In 2007, after three years of research, HERVY introduced into the market the first high performance Brazilian toilet, capable of using only 4.8 liters 1.2 g of water without the need for any water pressure equipment.
These are only some of the results obtained from the ongoing research in our laboratories.
